28 januari 2027 Workshop met Teresa Skues , Floral Tattoo

Speciale Workshop met top designer Teresa Skues uit Engeland.

Teresa heeft altijd een grote interesse gehad in bloemen en tuinbouw, en ontdekte haar passie voor bloemisterij tijdens het volgen van een beginnerscursus bij de Singapore Flower Club, waarvoor ze later in het bestuur zat als penningmeester en voorzitter.

Teresa heeft haar opleiding over meerdere jaren verder ontwikkeld tot een professioneel niveau en zet haar wereldwijde opleiding voort, waarbij ze professioneel werd en in 2016 haar eigen bedrijf opende.
Ze heeft als freelance bloemontwerpster gewerkt bij gerenommeerde internationale ontwerpers in Singapore en in haar geboorteland VK.   Haar passie ligt bij de Europese stijl, met een liefde voor constructies en eigentijds ontwerp.

in 2021 diende Teresa ontwerpen in voor een wedstrijd met International Floral Art.   Ze was ontzettend trots dat haar ontwerpen werden geselecteerd om in hun boek te verschijnen en behaalde de felbegeerde voorkant, met haar Hummingbird-ontwerp, die in Fleur Creative Magazine in de herfst van 2021 verscheen.

Teresa behaalde haar CFD bij het American Institute of Floral Design.

De Les:

We maken decoratieve bloemmotieven die op het lichaam, persoonlijke spullen en in huis op twee verschillende manieren worden gebruikt.
Ten eerste met Kinesiology-tape. De bloemen worden op de tape gepast, waarna het ontwerp direct op het lichaam of accenten wordt geplaatst om te decoreren. De tape is flexibel en past zich aan op de plek waar hij wordt geplaatst. Eenmaal geplaatst is er geen zichtbaar teken van hechting en lijkt hij te zweven.

Met deze methode zijn ontwerpen flexibel en kunnen ze overal op het lichaam worden geplaatst, op handtassen, schoenen, cadeautassen en door het huis. Voor het tweede ontwerp gebruiken we Chenille Sticks om snel en eenvoudig een basis te maken om met bloemen te bedekken. Dit is een veelzijdige basis om decoratieve stukken te maken om te dragen en om persoonlijke spullen of in huis te accentueren.

Teresa has always had a keen interest in flowers and horticulture, discovering her passion for floristry whilst attending a beginner’s course at the Singapore Flower Club many years ago, for whom she later served on the committee as Treasurer and  President.

Teresa furthered her training over several years to a professional level and continues her pursuit of education worldwide, turning professional and opening her own company in 2016.

She has worked as a free-lance floral designer with renowned International designers in Singapore and in her native UK.   Her passion is European style, with a love of structures and contemporary design.

in 2021 Teresa submitted designs for a competition with International Floral Art.   She was extremely proud to have her designs chosen to feature in their book and achieved the much sort after coveted front cover, with her Hummingbird design, featured in Fleur Creative Magazine Autumn 2021.

The class:

We will be creating Decorative Floral Designs to use on the body, personal items and around the home in two different ways.
Firstly, using Kinesiology tape. The florals are designed onto the tape, after which the design is placed directly onto the body or accents to decorate. The tape is flexible, taking to the shape of where it is placed.   Once placed there is no viable sign of attachment and it appears to be floating.  

Using this method designs are flexible and can be placed anywhere on the body, onto handbags, shoes, gifts bags and around the home. For the second design we will use Chenille Sticks to create quick and easy base to covering with florals. This is a versatile base to make decorative pieces to wear and to accent on personal items or around the home.
